Etihad Airways has appointed Hasan A Saleh Al-Hammadi to the position of vice president special projects.
Mr Al-Hammadi’s role will be to undertake special liaison tasks and projects relating to protocol, the security services in Abu Dhabi, government departments and Emiratisation.
Ray Gammell, Etihad Airway’s chief people and performance officer, said: “We are delighted to welcome Hasan as part of our on-going commitment to employ talented and experienced Emirati nationals from all walks of life to work alongside the many skilled Emiratis joining the airline at the start of their careers.
“This is a critical part of our fabric as the national airline of the United Arab Emirates and, together with our multi-national workforce, we continue to create a unique blend of people and skills to drive our vision to be the best airline in the world.”
Mr Al-Hammadi, a United Arab Emirates national, has more than 25 years experience in senior government sector positions relating to security, intelligence, national and international political relationships, protocol and diplomatic affairs.
His previous positions have included various roles within the UAE government. Mr Al-Hammadi has a Bachelor of Science degree in Petroleum Engineering from the UK.
