Inspired by the Comic Craze exhibition, a Comic Craze workshop, which invited participants to explore the creative process of using different elements and materials to create a final comic and animated art piece, was held at Al Qattara Arts Centre on 12th to 14th October. The workshop invited children, teens and adults to create various art pieces, including acyclic canvases which depict the UAE’s desert environment, and other pieces such as cartoons drawings.
The workshop highlighted the Department of Culture and Tourism - Abu Dhabi’s vision, which seeks to support emerging creative talent in the region and offer artists and participants a platform from which they can seek creative inspiration and develop their skills.
The Comic Craze exhibition is a unique opportunity to learn about the significant role that visual arts play on digital and traditional platforms. The exhibition features a wide selection of art and animated films, including examples of comic books, web comics and many more.
The exhibition will run until 13th November 2017 at Al Qattara Arts Centre, which is open daily from 9am to 8pm (closed on Fridays).
