The Ministry of Public Works will organise a conference on the Sustainable Infrastructure: ’’Opportunities and Challenges’’ on May 18-19.
Dr. Abdullah Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Ministry, said the Ministry is taking long strides in implementing green building principles in its projects at bar with the latest international best practices. "In executing its projects, the Ministry will use materials and systems that save energy and water,’’ he told a press conference.
The conference, which will be organised in association with the Monash University, Australia, will the forum will shed light on challenges and opportunities in sustainable planning and management of infrastructure.
A line-up of international speakers and experts the like of Dr Amrik Sohal, a Professor in the Department of Management, Faculty of Business and Economics at Monash University, will deliver a presentation during the meeting.
