The Emirates Center for Strategic Studies and Research (ECSSR) is hosting the Abu Dhabi Conference on "Climate Change: Financing Green Development," organized by the Institute for International Law and Justice (IILJ) and Frank J. Guarini Center for Environment and Land Use Law of New York University, from May 3 to 5, 2009.
The conference will address many important issues related to climate change in the world. They include legal and regulatory aspects of global carbon markets, new forms and structures of climate mitigation finance with a focus on their implications for developing countries, the science of climate change and its policy implications, climate market design in developed and developing countries, the impact of the tax treatment of climate assets and markets.
The conference is generously supported by the Government of Abu Dhabi, NYU Abu Dhabi and the ECSSR.
