The male and female contestants who will particiapte in the annual Zayed International Charity Race 2009 has reached 7150.
The event, to be held in Central Park, New York on May 16, is being organised in collaboration with the UAE Embassy in Washington and will be held under the partonage of Shaikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Abu Dhabi Crown Prince and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces.
Proceeds from the 10-km race will be given to Healthy Kidney Foundation, a specialised Kidney Hospital in the United States, said chairman of the chairman of the Higher Organising Committee of the race Lieutenant General Mohammed Hilal Al Kaabi.
Participants in this year’s event include UAE jockey Ali Al-Muhairi and professional athletes like American athlete, Devin who won last year’s event.
