Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) concluded its free cultural programmes celebrating International Museum Day yesterday, including the “Museums by Night” tour, which led visitors through the Al Ain museums and cultural sites from 16 – 18 May.
The three-day event saw visitors enjoying interactive tours across Al Ain Palace, Al Ain Oasis and Al Ain National Museum, featuring screenings, light installations, and other encounters that offered visitors an exclusive opportunity to experience the history of the Al Ain National Museum. In addition, visitors also learned more about future museum projects, including the Louvre Abu Dhabi, Guggenheim Abu Dhabi and Zayed National Museum, continuing the legacy once founded by the late Sheikh Zayed, and their relation to recent archaeological excavations and findings.
The tours concluded at the Sultan Fort for a virtual tour of Guggenheim Abu Dhabi’s ongoing exhibition, The Creative Act: Process, Performance, Presence.
The celebrations and tours have received widespread interest and feedback from visitors as an extraordinary experience, enlightening them about the cultural heritage of Al Ain and the UAE.
