A non-stop schedule of interactive discussions, live performances and exciting events is set to enthral visitors over the course of the closing days of this year’s edition of the Mother of the Nation Festival.
Organised by Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority (TCA Abu Dhabi) and running until the 4th April, the second edition of the Mother of the Nation Festival extends over more than one kilometre on Abu Dhabi Corniche. In celebration of H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak’s progressive vision for social empowerment in the UAE, the festival offers visitors a selection of engaging platforms designed to inspire future generations to express themselves creatively and reflect on the challenges facing the community.
At the forefront of upcoming events is the ongoing Majlis: Interactive Conversations programme. Women’s empowerment across industries driving the UAE economy will be the subject of multiple talks including a forum on Emirati Women in Sustainability & Renewable Energy on Sunday, 2 April at 7:30pm, and a discussion on Women in Tech by Samantha Rushforth covering the difficulties faced by women in the beauty industry and why businesses resist tech solutions for analogue alternatives on Monday, 3 April at 7:30pm.
Creativity will also take centre stage during an interactive workshop titled Backyard Poetry in which young aspiring poets can showcase their talents at 9pm, Sunday 2 April, while fashion enthusiasts can learn about how to position a sustainable apparel concept in the Middle East retail industry in Back To The Future: Baembu & Sustainability in Middle East Retail at 7:30pm, 4 April.
