Etihad Guest, Etihad Airways’ award-winning loyalty programme, has enhanced the opportunities for its Kuwait based members to earn Etihad Guest Miles while using their Boubyan Bank credit and debit cards.

Under a new partnership agreement between Boubyan Bank and Etihad Guest, customers will now be able to convert their Boubyan Select loyalty programme points into Etihad Guest miles, giving them access to a greater choice of rewards.

Yasser Al Yousuf, Managing Director Etihad Guest, said: “Now with Boubyan Select loyalty programme, members have the opportunity to experience the best service in the sky. They can transfer their Boubyan Select points to our Etihad Guest programme and reward themselves with Etihad Airways flights, upgrades and more.

“From as few as 4,732 Etihad Guest Miles, guests can fly one way in Economy Class from Kuwait to Abu Dhabi, or they can upgrade from Economy to Business Class on the same route from just 6,947 miles. A return Business Class flight requires 26,832 miles.”

All Etihad Airways guests flying to US destinations pass through US Preclearance at Abu Dhabi Airport, enabling them to clear US immigration and customs before boarding their flight, and to arrive in America as domestic passengers.

However, it’s not only flights on which members can redeem their miles. When customers visit the Etihad Guest Reward Shop online, they will find thousands of options – from home appliances to 24K gold ingots, eyewear to perfume, children’s toys to premium coffees.

They also have the option to donate miles to one of the eight charities with which Etihad Guest is affiliated. The miles are collected by the Reward Shop and converted into cash which is then donated to relief organisations. Last year, Etihad Guest members donated more than 30 million miles to provide humanitarian aid to victims of the Nepal earthquake.
