UAE and German officials met on Sunday to discuss expanding bilateral relations and exchanged views on the latest regional and international developments, during the third round of the joint political consultations committee.
Held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, the meeting was co-chaired by Dr. Anwar bin Mohammed Gargash, Minister of State for Foreign Affairs, and Dr. Markus Ederer, State Secretary of the Federal Foreign Office of Germany.
Dr. Gargash stated the UAE's determination to further bolstering bilateral relations and wished continued development and growth of these ties for serving the interests of the two friendly countries. He also stressed the importance of sharing views on current issues and methods of solving global crises.
Dr. Markus said his country pays special attention to its relations with the UAE and acknowledged the significance of regular political consultations.
He also proposed the holding of the fourth round of committee meetings during the first quarter of 2017 in Berlin.
