To share the joy of celebration with families and children of all needs, Yas Mall has partnered with various organizations in the UAE to extend its anniversary celebrations to more than 100 children from Khalifa Medical City and the Emirates Down Syndrome Association.
Yas Mall management members, accompanied by the Hamleys mascot, paid a visit to children at Sheikh Khalifa Medical City’s children’s ward. The visit lifted the children’s spirits, bringing smiles to their faces as they also enjoyed baskets filled with fun gifts and exciting goodies. Yas Mall has also invited children from the Abu Dhabi branch of the Emirates Down Syndrome Association to enjoy an exciting day at the mall, complete with a delicious meal from McDonald’s and hours of fun and play at Fun Works.
Steve Bunce, Director of Retail Asset Management at Aldar Properties PJSC, commented: “We are proud to partner with leading organizations like Khalifa Medical City and the Emirates Down Syndrome Association to support families and bring happiness to children of all ages and needs. Giving back to the community remains one of our top priorities as a company and we look forward to celebrating our one year anniversary with families and children, as we have a variety of exciting activities in store for our visitors.”
Throughout this inaugural year, Yas Mall has participated and hosted several activities that have solidified their socially conscious position in the community. During both the festive season and Ramadan, Yas Mall invited orphaned children from the Emirates Red Crescent to enjoy a host fun activities and goody bags. Additionally, in an effort to promote a greener future, the mall collaborated with Abu Dhabi Education Council and Aldar Academies in March 2015, welcoming 125 school children to a tree planting event in Town Square. The primary school pupils planted seedlings into biodegradable pots and were given an interactive environmental presentation, educating youth about the importance of recycling and caring for the environment.
