Embracing the spirit of the Holy Month of Ramadan and in line with its commitment to corporate social responsibility, Yas Mall hosted an iftar for over 100 children and parents, with participation from families with the Emirates Down Syndrome Association and orphaned children from the Emirates Red Crescent. The iftar took place at the authentic Italian restaurant; Carluccio’s, followed by a play session at Fun Works, which holds the region’s largest soft play area for kids.
This year, Yas Mall is engaging in a full range of fun activities to mark the Holy Month of Ramadan with a variety of cultural and religious activities to be enjoyed by families and communities throughout the month, with extended opening hours from 10am to 12am daily.
In partnership with the General Authority of Islamic Affairs and Endowments (AWQAF) Yas Mall hosts Taraweeh prayers in the mall’s prayer rooms each evening, in addition to Holy Quran learning lessons for children after the prayers that include a competition for the child who memorizes the most with the winner to be announced by the end of the month. Yas Mall is also hosting a month long donations campaign in partnership with the Emirates Red Crescent, where visitors can donate their clothes and toys.
