Today it was announced that Yas Mall will launch an incredible competition for aspiring fashion designers as part of Yas Mall’s Fashion Week, taking place from 12-15 October.
The ‘Design your way to the Runway’ competition will catapult the most talented designer to stardom as they will have the chance to showcase their collection on an international stage during Yas Mall’s Fashion Week as well as featuring their work at one of Yas Mall’s concept stores.
Yas Mall will also grant the lucky winner the chance to gain international media exposure in some of the region’s leading fashion magazines including Viva, Ahlan, Grazia, Harper’s Bazaar Arabia, and several others.
Following the success of the 2015 Yas Mall Fashion Week, Yas Mall has further expanded this glamourous event into a mall-wide celebration of fashion, fame and beauty; in which visitors will embark on a four-day journey within the mall and around Yas Island, featuring regional and international brands, designers and celebrities.
The launch of the ‘Design your way to the runway’ competition showcases Yas Mall’s commitment to providing exceptional experiences and activities for its diverse GCC customers and visitors all year round. Ultimately, its purpose is to nurture emerging and upcoming talent throughout the region and showcase them on an international stage, introducing their work to a new global audience.
Participants of the competition will be asked to submit a selection of 10 renderings for a clothing line with a purely arabesque theme. The entries will be judged by a panel of top fashion experts, industry leaders.

The jury will announce the winner on the 12th of October 2016 during Yas Mall’s Fashion Week.
