The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) launched its ‘Business Intelligence System’ – a smart scheme that aims to fully boost the chamber’s digital transformation process for all its transactions and inquiries, in a move to exploit digital and technical technologies providing cutting-edge support to administrative decisions and preparation of corporate reports as part of the efforts to inspire a new administrative culture that endorses digital technologies.
The initiative will assist in transforming traditional data and long-time stored information into digital formats, making these easy to handle and process. This will enable preparing advanced and smart reports, through which all kinds of information can be connected and analyzed, enriching such reports with useful information and performance indicators that help in making decisions based on truthful facts and benefit from today’s latest digital technologies.
The system will support management decision-making, expedite the preparation of corporate reports and publications and guarantee availability of information for businesses in all sectors, decision makers and interested parties.
Khalid bin Butti Al Hajri, Director General of SCCI, said: "SCCI’s launch of its ‘Business Intelligence System’ comes alongside its other initiatives and projects that the chamber has been working on to support full digital transformation of all its operations. The mentioned system reflects the chamber’s commitment to pursue know-how of strategically operational decisions and provide credible levels of information and data bases, to build precise and transparent financial and non-financial indicators for decision makers from the Emirate of Sharjah’s vast economic sectors."
Al Hajri stressed the project represents an e-stage for collecting and preparing data from their bases and various references in order to be analyzed and transformed into information, which can be then put out before business analysts such as specialists and decision makers, by using interactive tables and graphics, making it available on mobile and tablet and making it possible to surf all categories on search engines. This would overcome all related challenges and come up with appropriate solutions to reach set objectives, Al Hajri added.
The kind of instruments and technologies provided by the ‘Business Intelligence System’ will play a significant role in expediting the process of transforming all data and primal information, so these can be classified and structured to be analyzed, and accordingly made ready to reach needed conclusions depending on the kind and approach of the search processes. This will play an important and pivotal role in dealing with mega storage sizes of data and information, so these can be transformed into visions and concepts, which can be easily comprehended, and which represent the core foundation for any carefully speedy decision process and can benefit all.
