Abu Dhabi City Municipality, in collaboration with Baniyas Police Station, has completed a clean-up effort to eradicate elements distorting the aesthetic appearance of areas surrounding the Al Wathba Municipal Centre, including Baniyas West, Al Wathba South and the New Al Wathba South.
The initiative was carried out with the help of local waste management centres and demolition and removal teams, and is part of the municipality's commitment to boost its cooperation with community members, reinforce values and standards, and maintain the city's appearance.
The campaign targeted all types of disfiguring elements such as building debris, general waste and organic residue.
Abu Dhabi Municipality said that the initiative was aimed at raising public awareness of the importance of social solidarity towards maintaining the city's appearance, which is a reflection of the standard of urbanised living of its population in terms of its overall environmental and health standards. It also aims to remind the public of any offences and laws pertaining to public health and the appearance of public property.
