More than 400 children were taken by surprise when the Emirati artist and UN Goodwill Extraordinary Ambassador, Dr Hussain Al Jassmi walked into Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and greeted them as they were preparing for a special iftar at the Park’s popular restaurant, Mamma Rossella.
This is the third consecutive year the children’s iftar initiative takes place in partnership with Emirates Red Crescent at the world’s first Ferrari-branded theme park, located on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi. This year, the 400 children were hosted over two days to dine in a fun-filled atmosphere and enjoy some of the exceptional rides and attractions available at the Park for a few hours of pure excitement.
"During the iftar with our children, we could feel Ramadan’s blessings around us as we got together as one family. The children were clearly pleased to be spending the evening at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi, and we were delighted to be by their side,” said Dr. Al Jassmi.
He added: “These orphans deserve to be happy and we are proud of initiatives like this one taking place in our beloved UAE, which demonstrates our care and passion towards not only these children but all other segments of the community within our nation.”
Commenting on the initiative, Jesse Vargas, General Manager at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi said: “It’s always a pleasure hosting the children at the Park during this blessed month, particularly this year as we celebrate our 5th anniversary. This has been a phenomenal year for us as we’ve launched two new rides at the Park, and we wanted to give the children an extra reason to smile. We were honored to have Dr Hussain Al Jassmi as our guest of honor to help spread joy and excitement across hundreds of children’s faces.”
