Stars from Abu Dhabi Summer Season’s Arab Comedy Festival indulged in some sightseeing, shopping, thrills and meeting some of their legions of fans across Abu Dhabi ahead of their two shows in the capital later this year.
Jordanian Rajae Qawas and Saudi Arabian Fadi Al Shehri will be performing their comedy routines over two nights at Yas Mall in September as part of the Abu Dhabi Tourism & Culture Authority’s (TCA Abu Dhabi) Summer Season.
Ahead of their performances, the comedy duo took in some of the sights of the capital including Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, Emirates Palace, Saadiyat Island, Ferrari World Abu Dhabi and then mingled and met fans at Yas Mall.
“We can’t wait for our show later this summer and it should be a riot of laughter for everyone in Abu Dhabi. We’re really excited to be here now and coming back again in September to entertain all of our fans,” said Qawas.
“We love the crazy rides at Ferrari World and this really is the coolest place to be this summer. We really hope you come and enjoy the Arab Comedy Festival with us.”
The Arab Comedy Festival, organised by Flash Entertainment, features two days of hilarious comedy with regional stars and hosts on Friday, September 9 and Saturday, September 10 in Abu Dhabi’s largest mall to help celebrate Eid Al Adha.
Starting the festival on the Friday with host Bin Baz, are the Saudi trio of Ibrahim Saleh, Fadi Al Shehri and Ibrahim Khairallah. The following night Emirati host Taim Al Falasi introduces Darine Al Bayed, Qawas and Fahad Al Butairi for another night of laughter.
Abu Dhabi Summer Season runs emirate-wide from July 7 until September 11 and promises an event-filled summer of entertainment with singers, theatre shows, comedy nights and children’s entertainment in venues across Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Gharbia.
