The first edition of Climate Abu Dhabi, an exhibition dedicated to the heating, ventilation, air conditioning and refrigeration (HVACR) industry, will take place from 3 to 5 October at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre (ADNEC). The brand new event will focus on showcasing innovative energy-efficient building cooling technology.
Aiming to promote dialogue about the new range of eco-friendly products and solutions available within the climate and cold chain sector, the latest addition to the capital’s event calendar hopes to attract more than 5,000 visitors from the MENA and South Asia regions. Organised by Dome Exhibitions and Euroexpo, Climate Abu Dhabi will draw the support of ADNEC, Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and AbuDhabiEvents.ae as key partners.
The event will convene at a time when energy saving, air quality and building lifecycle costs are being given high priority in the UAE, in line with the nation’s environmental efficiency and sustainability plans for 2030.
In this context, Markus Lattner, International Project Director, EUROEXPO-Vienna, said: “With US$180 billion worth of projects under construction in the UAE, we are bound to see an increasing demand for HVACR products and services. Factors such as rising population will increase the number of households and boost urbanization, which supported by technological developments and changes in government policies, will further drive the UAE HVACR market forward. Amidst such projections, we are excited to bring such a specialised event to the region, attracting representatives of oil and gas companies, industrial manufacturers, engineering and construction companies, and many other sectors. ”
Antoine Georges, Managing Director, DOME Exhibitions, Abu Dhabi, said: “The exhibition will offer visitors and manufacturers unprecedented insight into the HVACR market, and open a myriad of opportunities for mutual collaboration. As the capital of the UAE, Abu Dhabi is ideally positioned to host this type of event due to its bustling economy and close proximity to other GCC countries.”
Climate Abu Dhabi offers government agencies and businesses the shortest way to the air conditioning and refrigeration market, enabling them to access quick and efficient solutions to even the most complex of the sector’s challenges. Participating in the exhibition will save significant time and resources all around, providing an opportunity for potential clients to meet and negotiate with market leaders, and a common platform for manufacturers to showcase their products.
The event will also draw the high-level participation of key decision makers and experts from leading industry association including Air Conditioning and Refrigeration Manufacturer’s Association (ISKID) in Turkey and Eurovent, Europe’s leading industry association for Indoor Climate (HVAC), Process Cooling, and Food Cold Chain Technologies.
Huseyin Yuksec, Director, Conditioning and Refrigeration Manufacturer’s Association (ISKID) said: “We are participating in this definitive event as part of our increased focus on technological innovations and advancements in the HVACR industry. The event provides us with a key industry platform to assist the development of innovative technologies in this highly specialised industry. We also seek to showcase our expertise in promoting the use of renewable energy resources that protect our environment and ensure the sustainability of resources.”
Morten Schmelzer, Strategic Relations Manager at Eurovent, said: “Eurovent is delighted to support the inaugural edition of Climate Abu Dhabi as part of our priority to accelerate the deployment of energy-efficient and sustainable technologies. As the global energy demand continues to surge, the future of economic growth will significantly rely on achieving energy efficiency and sustainability to mitigate the environmental impact of such exponential growth. As one of the largest cross-regional industry committees, Eurovent is committed to supporting events like Climate Abu Dhabi to help the region reduce its environmental footprint and realize a low-carbon society.”
Climate Abu Dhabi is an offshoot of the annual specialised exhibition Climate World that takes place in Moscow every year and has been recognised as the flagship HVACR event in Eastern Europe. According to the organisers, 250 companies from 24 countries participated in the event in 2016. The exhibition welcomed over 23,000 visitors, 90% of whom were market professionals such as engineers, design and construction experts, employees of energy auditing and building maintenance companies, as well as government representatives.
