Bee'ah, the Middle East's leading fully integrated environmental and waste management company, announced signing a Memorandum of Understanding with Jeddah Environment and Sustainable Development Company on March 22.
According to the MoU, both sides will strengthen cooperation and joint action and share knowledge and expertise to both face the environmental challenges and invest in waste management in KSA.
The signing ceremony took place at Bee'ah's headquarters in the emirate of Sharjah, and was attended by Khaled Al Huraimel, Group CEO of Bee'ah and HE Dr. Hassan Shawli, Executive Director of JESDC, who signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organizations in the presence of senior officials from both sides.
Under the terms of the MoU, both parties will develop a long-term strategic cooperation to achieve the cognitive, industrial and environmental integration, paving the way for an industry that contributes to the diversification of the national economy, by recycling waste materials into usable products.
Both companies will cooperate in all types and phases of alternative waste management and all activities of environmental projects. They will communicate to develop future projects and prepare feasibility studies of these projects.
Speaking on the occasion, Khaled Al Huraimel, Group CEO of Bee'ah, said: We are delighted to work with JESDC and to leverage the entire spectrum of our experience in providing integrated environmental solutions for the service of our partners in the Kingdom. This MoU is a testament to our commitment to provide sustainable waste management solutions, as well as to strengthen our strategic partnership with both government and private entities in the region.

Under the MOU, both parties will adopt the practices which will be identified in the joint action plan, provided that these practices will be in compliance with the applicable laws and regulations in KSA. Furthermore, each party will provide the initial solutions and human resources to create new jobs and will allocate the required resources to implement the joint initiatives, in accordance with the operational plans and the available resources to each party.
