Al Ain Water, the leading bottled water brand in the United Arab Emirates and a key product in Agthia’s Consumer Business Division portfolio, has enhanced its home delivery service by launching the "MyAgthia" smartphone application. Available on both Android and iOS platforms, this application provides a personalised account dashboard and improves a consumer’ experience by simplifying the order-to-delivery process.
Elaborating on the brand’s latest initiative, Fasahat Beg, Executive Vice President of Agthia Consumer Business Division, said, "Today’s digital environment has fundamentally changed the way people buy. As research indicates, UAE has the highest smartphone penetration in the region with 64.6% of mobile phone users in 2015, and is expected to reach 74.6% by 2018. As a brand that is constantly evolving to adapt to changing consumer behavior and demands, Al Ain Water strongly believes that building a strong brand in this digital age is of utmost importance. Through the MyAgthia initiative, Al Ain Water will enhance the user experience and increase consumer interaction through relevant touchpoints."
The new application is presently available in the English language and will soon be followed by an Arabic version. MyAgthia features an e-wallet for online recharge, geo-tagging for higher precision in delivery, real-time notification on delivery status, promo codes offering attractive deals, and the ability to pause delivery service during vacations. It also lends customers greater control over transactions by providing payment details and credit top-up history.
The MyAgthia application, which primarily targets customers of the 5-gallon container variant for consumption in homes and offices, will also support an instant ‘feedback and requests’ option to improve the brand’s customer service. This initiative will enable Al Ain Water to build on a more accurate database to further improve its services, whilst bringing greater seamlessness to its online presence.
