UAE Research Programme for Rain Enhancement Science has set 16th February as a closing date for accepting letters of intent from interested researchers to participate in the programme's second session.

The programme offers a grant of $ 5 million in each session to 5 winners over three years.

The inaugural session of the programme concluded on 19th January, with the honouring of the three winners of the grant from Japan, the UAE and Germany.

Alya Al Mazrouei, Director of the UAE Research Programme for Rain Enhancement Science, said the first session of the programme drew huge international attention, hoping that the second session would draw more attention, especially from innovative participants in the area of rain enhancement science, which is vital for the UAE.
