Upon the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and follow up by H.H. Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Khalifa Foundation, the Foundation plans to expand its humanitarian initiatives and projects to assist greater number of Emirati families.
The move comes as part of the state policy to provide more job opportunities to citizens and encourage them to join the private sector.
For the fifth year in a row, the Foundation supports the participation of Emirati families in activities at the Global Village in Dubai, which is the main hub for culture, shopping and entertainment in the region.
Mohammed Hajji Al Khouri, Director-General of the Khalifa Foundation said the organisation builds the capacity of individuals and urges them to work to build stronger community, citing that most of the Foundation's local projects were implemented by the Emiratis.
He told Emirates News Agency (WAM) in a statement that the Foundation's projects are deemed among the most successful projects performed by the Emirati families.
Al Khouri reiterated that the Khalifa Foundation's pavilion at the global village in Dubai aims at supporting the Emirati families to benefit materially and morally as they compete to showcase quality products.
