Venues with outdoor play areas are a blessing as they give parents the chance to relax and enjoy their meal while the kids play. The Sportsman’s Arms, the new family-friendly gastropub in Abu Dhabi, caters to this need in the market and is pleased to announce the opening of its much-awaited family terrace.  

“Abu Dhabi has a large family-oriented crowd, and with a number of neighbouring residential compounds it is essential we cater for their needs. We want to make parents feel relaxed and welcome, to give them not only somewhere they could enjoy quality food and drink, but where they could bring the whole family and have a good time without worrying too much about keeping the children entertained,” says Simon Housecroft, general manager at The Sportsman’s Arms.

“Since The Sportsman’s Arms first opened in September, we’ve offered board games and colouring sheets for our young guests in addition to a dedicated kids’ menu. Now, with the cooler months upon us, it’s the perfect time to open our soft play area for the children,” he adds.

The family terrace is perfect for those who want to enjoy a delicious family meal, safe in the knowledge that their children will be having a good time in the nearby soft play area. There is even a traditional roast now available on Saturdays and Sundays, served with all the trimmings. Live international sports are shown on large screens throughout the week.

To celebrate the launch of their family terrace, The Sportsman’s Arms is offering ‘kids eat free’ vouchers for all until December 15. This voucher can be redeemed with every adult meal purchased over the value of AED50.  

Located on the first floor of the International Tennis Centre at Zayed Sports City, The Sportsman’s Arms transforms from a warm restaurant for a family breakfast or lunch during the day to a vibrant setting for a casual dinner and drinks with friends or colleagues in the evening.

The pre-season menu features traditional pub favourites, with a full a la carte menu coming soon. The recently launched weekend roasts are one of the new menu options being introduced during the interim period.
