German Formula one Player Nico Rosberg of Mercedes Team won Abu Dhabi Grand Prix (2015) on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi (United Arab Emirates). Finnish Ferrari driver Kimi Raikkonen finished in third place in Abu Dhabi, while Vettel came in fourth. Mexican driver Sergio Perez (Force India), was fifth and Australia's Daniel Ricciardo (Red Bull) finished the season's last race at sixth. Hamilton was content to reflect on another all-conquering season for Mercedes, having amassed 703 points with the Briton winning the drivers' title by 69 points from Rosberg. The 2015 Driver's Championship was won by British Driver Lewis Hamilton while the Constructor's Championship was won by the German team, Mercedes. Rosberg said "it's not a revival, and I have not reinvented anything". "I have got this great graph which shows you all the races, and all 12 of the opening races - apart from Barcelona - the auto was great". The German conjured a flawless race to win his first Formula One Etihad Airways Abu Dhabi Grand Prix on Sunday. He said: "After I pitted I was 11 seconds behind and had a mountain to climb". "As that didn't work out, going long probably wasn't the best thing to do". His answer differs slightly, saying: "I don't think we've ever done either so there's no reason to change". In his efforts to overtake race leader Nico Rosberg, Hamilton extended his second stint on the soft compound tyre, eventually pitting ten laps later than Rosberg's pit stop. "Next year can come at any moment, it could start tomorrow, I don't need any holidays, and it is great to end the season like this". After stopping for the second and final time on lap 41, 10 later than Rosberg, Hamilton was 12.5s adrift and quickly reduced that deficit to 6.8s with four laps to run, but then he ran into traffic and Rosberg was able to extend the gap to a comfortable 8.2s by the flag. Various changes were made there, during Mercedes's worst weekend of the season, and Hamilton believes his auto has not been the same since. The race was a farewell for principal John Booth and sporting director Graeme Lowdon, who resigned last month. Later, Alonso's teammate Jenson Button had an embarrassing collision in the pit lane with Valtteri Bottas of Williams. "It has just been different for a few races now, but I did my best to get around, with the engineers we tried something completely different", Hamilton explained. He told a press conference: "Austin was the low point of the season, since then I've come back a lot stronger and I'm very happy about that". The Spaniard had another tough race, given a drive-through penalty for causing a collision at the first corner in a decision he said was symptomatic of the sport's problems.
