The Department of Finance, DoF, – Abu Dhabi and the General Administration of Customs- Abu Dhabi today organised a special event to mark the Commemoration Day at its headquarters in Abu Dhabi.
Hamad Hurr Al Suwaidi, Chairman of DoF, led the Commemoration Day ceremony, in the presence of Mohammed Sultan bin Ghannoum Al Hameli, the General Director of DoF – Abu Dhabi, Mohammed Khadem Al Hameli, Acting Director General of the General Administration of Customs, and a number of department executives and employees.
The ceremony commenced with flying the UAE flag at half-mast, and observing a moment of silence to pray to Almighty Allah to accept our martyrs. The ceremony was concluded by raising the flag to full mast once again as the UAE national anthem played.
On this occasion, Hamad Hurr Al Suwaidi, Chairman of DoF – Abu Dhabi, paid respect to and expressed his admiration for the martyrs’ families for instilling a great sense of patriotism in their sons. He also expressed his appreciation for the martyrs’ mothers for raising heroes who embodied the values of loyalty and sacrifice.
