In a bid to grow its share of the lucrative Chinese market, The Ajman Palace Hotel is participating in an exclusive roadshow in China being organised from 8th to 25th November. During the period Aftab Mukadam, Director of Sales and Marketing from The Ajman Palace Hotel, will be visiting five key cities in the country including Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Shanghai, Beijing and Chengdu to meet tourism bodies as well as leading tour operators, destination management companies and other trade professionals.
Ferghal Purcell, General Manager of The Ajman Palace Hotel, said, "China is a growing market for us and holds strong potential. The current roadshow is strategically planned in time to attract visitors during the Chinese New Year that will fall from 7th to 13th February 2016. We have created exciting packages for the Chinese New Year as well as added traditional Chinese dishes on our breakfast and restaurant menus. During the roadshow, in addition to promoting our hotel and its world-class facilities, we will also be highlighting Ajman's latest attractions such as the newly-developed 18-hole Al Zohra Golf Course."
The UAE is witnessing unprecedented demand from Chinese visitors, therefore, Dubai's Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) is working on adding more flights between the two countries in 2016. China's outbound tourism market is the biggest tourism source market in the world. Despite the country's economic slowdown, 62 million Chinese crossed the border in the first half of 2015. China is Dubai’s seventh largest tourism source market, and grew the most last year, with 344,000 visitors, up by 25 per cent compared to 2013. In the first half of 2015 Dubai attracted 241,000 Chinese visitors, up by 26 per cent year-on-year. DTCM has four offices in China — in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Chengdu.
