The UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, will host, under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, an international summit on Monday to fight online sexual exploitation of children.
Organised by the Ministry of Interior, delegates from more than 50 countries will discuss how best to protect the victims and prevent the misuse of the Internet to exploit children.
The event will act as a platform for governments, law enforcement agencies and civil society organisations to agree on constructive measures for child protection, building stronger relations and setting up joint work mechanisms to ensure identification and protection of victims.
The first summit was hosted by the United Kingdom in December 2014.
