Held across the region, the British Council organises EDUKEX each year in two stops over three days in the UAE. “UK Education has always been a coveted option for students, mainly Emiratis,” said Jessel during the inauguration ceremony in Abu Dhabi. “Recent generations of nationals in the UAE as well as other expatriates understand the importance of a prestigious degree from the UK for building their careers.”
“Holders of a degree from the UK have better opportunities to get well-paid jobs in prestigious organisations. EDUKEX helps students and their parents to fully understand all the requirements of study, living and visa logistics.”
The exhibition hold sessions to update students on all the requirements pertaining to accommodation, the culture of UK community, financial aid, and make the visa issuing steps much easier and quicker.
British Council IELTS is supporting the 14th edition of EDUKEX as a Gold Sponsor. The Examination Management in the British Council will be present onsite to facilitate candidates understand the importance of undertaking the IELTS exams before leaving to the UK.
According to studies, several UK universities are ranked among the world’s top 10 universities annually, and this prompts many students to visit EDUKEX and interact with representatives of these universities, and try to secure their place for undergraduate and postgraduate degrees.
EDUKEX is part of British Council’s initiatives to enhance cultural and educational relations between the UAE and UK. The main objective of EDUKEX is to raise awareness of the quality of UK education and the extensive choice of courses and institutions on offer at every academic level.
