Abu Dhabi's Armed Forces Officers Club & Hotel, a five-star property in the UAE capital, has announced its participation in the World Halal Travel Summit & Exhibition (WHTS 2015), which commenced today (October 19) at the Abu Dhabi Exhibition Centre.

The hotel’s management described the event as an important opportunity for the hotel to meet officials and professionals for talks on cooperation and a platform to exchange experiences and ideas with other professionals.

It stressed the importance for the hotel to be present as a landmark and reference in UAE Market for Halal travellers due the specific characteristics such as special ladies facilities, alcohol free rooms, restaurants and public areas as well as numerous fun activities for all the family such as bowling, paintball, shooting, tennis, and children’s village, among others.

More than 6,000 delegates are expected to attend the summit which focuses on travel and tourism developments worldwide.

WHTS15 is the largest dedicated B2B event designed to match the trade buyers with leading tourism brands operating exclusively Halal travel sector.

The summit also includes seminars and meetings between delegates and decision makers to discuss the industry.

Armed Forces Officers Club will be hosting some of the major Travel Agencies and Tour Operators during the Show. In addition AFOC&H will sponsor one of the categories during the Gala Ceremony Awards as part of the engagement towards this important and growing niche market.
