Warren Buffet-backed Dairy Queen has been selected to help spearhead a UAE-wide campaign to highlight the best of the USA.
‘Discover America Week’ is the brainchild of the US Embassy in the UAE and will see a series of partners and events bringing the very best the USA has to offer to the people of the UAE.
Dairy Queen has been active in the USA for well over half a century – bringing a traditional mix of burgers, hotdogs and fries along with signature desserts to millions of satisfied customers.
They will now be showcasing these products as part of Discover America Week and will be celebrating by giving away their famous ice cream to customers in their Ras Al Khaimah outlet, and what will then be a newly opened Yas Mall outlet.
Dairy Queen is owned by Warren Buffet’s Berkshire Hathaway empire and plans to have 20 outlets across the UAE in the next four years.
Director of Operations in charge of the Dairy Queen franchise in the UAE Malik Bajwa is delighted to be involved in Discover America Week.
He said: “Dairy Queen brings a true taste of America, so to be involved in Discover America Week is a fantastic partnership for us.
“We pride ourselves on bringing people authentic American food from our burgers and chilli cheese fries, to the Blizzard desserts.
“Food is such a big part of American culture so for us to be able to bring this to the people of the UAE is great.
“So far the reaction has been fantastic with our outlet in RAK hugely popular, and the interest in our Yas Mall outlet is unprecedented, and we can’t wait to be involved in this initiative to coincide with the Yas Mall opening.”
Dairy Queen opens at Yas Mall on October 22, Discover America Week runs from October 22-31.
