Mr.Khamis Bu Haroon Managing Director of Islamic Bank has announced the appointment of Mr Tirad Mahmoud to the position of Chief Executive Officer. This comes in conformity with the Bank’s strategic plans to expand and develop the Islamic banking standards locally and regionally.

Tirad Mahmoud brings to ADIB more than 25 years of regional and international banking experience which he accumulated throughout his career with Citigroup and Saudi American Bank. Tirad Mahmoud held several senior management positions, including a CEO and Managing Director for Citibank- Central Europe, General Manager & Head of Corporate and Investment banking – Saudi American Bank/Samba, Chief Risk Officer for Citibank in Egypt and Northern Africa, Vice President for Corporate Real Estate Finance for Citibank in Canada as well as senior regional coverage posts for Citibak’s businesses in Qatar, UAE, Bahrain and Kuwait. In addition to being a proven General Management Executive, Tirad Mahmoud brings with him hands-on experience in building Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, setting up greenfield banking businesses and acquisition of banks.

Given his extensive experience and understanding of the financial services industry in the MENA region and the GCC in particular, Tirad Mahmoud will play a vital role in spearheading ADIB’s growth initiatives.
