Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council (QCC), the entity responsible for developing quality infrastructure and raising awareness on quality standards in the emirate of Abu Dhabi, is hosting a series of development programs in Abu Dhabi and Al Ain to ensure the competency of medical labs across the emirate.
The sessions will draw the participation of 40 technicians and managers of medical labs and certification bodies, and will offer insights into ISO 15189 standards for testing and calibration labs.
The workshops aim to develop the competency level of medical labs in Abu Dhabi and their ability to produce validated results as part of the emirate’s priority to improve competency levels and align them with best-in-class global standards. This will benefit all those involved in the provision of quality healthcare in the emirate including physicians and technicians, while ensuring greater accuracy of readings as well as diagnosis and treatment processes.

The Abu Dhabi Quality and Conformity Council was established in 2009 to raise the quality of the emirate’s exports and locally traded products, while protecting the interests of consumers and supporting the UAE’s competitive economy. This is achieved through empowering regulators to establish and implement product safety, legal metrology and conformity schemes. QCC also sets guidelines and benchmarks to identify and verify that the products manufactured and traded in Abu Dhabi conform to the highest quality standards.
