A delegation from the Security Support Department at the Abu Dhabi Police (ADP) participated with the London Metropolitan Police in its training to handle moderate and high-risk security incidents, which requires the use of advanced equipment and devices, as part of the delegation’s visit to the United Kingdom.
According to Captain Jassem Muhammad Al Zaabi, head of the delegation, the training was conducted in order to exchange training experiences and to participate with a team from the Metropolitan Police Specialist Training Centre (MPSTC) of the London Metropolitan Police. The trainings covered raids, setting operational plans to control locations, and security reports. The training incorporated various scenarios of raids, the role of the field commander in assigning the roles of the raid team members, and the use of the latest equipment as per the European standards adopted by the London Police.
The Security Support delegation also visited the MPSTC of the London Metropolitan Police, where they were introduced to the latest training, tactical methods, and equipment used by the patrols of the London Police.
The delegation comprised of staff members from the Security Support Department at the Abu Dhabi Police flew to London for a two-week visit with the London Metropolitan Police. During the visit, the ADP delegation participates in the daily patrol field tasks and various training activities of the Metropolitan Police. The visit falls within the framework of the expertise exchange program and the international cooperation efforts in security and police fields.
