Advancing to a new chapter to accommodate the market’s fluctuating trends, and in line with the overall group strategy, Al Fahim Group’s automotive division has announced changes in management across all five automotive business units: Emirates Motor Company (EMC) Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars, EMC Daimler Commercial Vehicles, Western Motors LLC, Central Motors & Equipment LLC (CME) and Eastern Motors LLC in Al Ain.
Under this progressive management arrangement and the group’s successful career development efforts in the human resources domain, former general managers overtook new positions corroborating their competence and expertise. Mr. Nassim Mourani, who overlooked Al Ain automotive operations at Eastern Motors for the group successfully over the past nine years, is now heading EMC Mercedes-Benz Passenger Cars; meanwhile Mr. Bilal Al Ribi, who has remarkably turned around CME’s business in the recent past, is now spearheading the newly created EMC Daimler Commercial Vehicle unit. Switching with Mr. Mourani, is Mr. Mohammad Al Momani, who grew the Jeep and Fiat brands in Abu Dhabi at Western Motors over the last three years. Mr. Sumit Chordia has been promoted from within CME to apply his vast experience of the industry into taking the Bosch and Michelin businesses to new heights. Moreover, the new head of Western Motors, Mr. Ismaeel Hassen, who has recently joined, will hit the ground running due to his measureless experience in past years in the Jeep and Fiat brands in the other GCC markets.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Al Fahim Automotive, Mr. Frank Bernthaler, emphasized, “With this management rotation, we are strengthening our organization and ensuring the active promotion of best-practices within the five automotive businesses while taking in new ideas and a fresh management philosophy. We have appointed great leaders who will further grow the business and endorse the creation of synergies for the benefit of each individual business unit, positively impacting Al Fahim Group as a whole. In addition, we are sending a strong signal to all our employees when it comes to recruitment (at all levels), which demonstrates that good performance and loyalty to the business pays off.”
Customers of Al Fahim Automotive will be the first to benefit as different customer segments will witness a newly defined focus. Businesses will be proactive in their approach to the customer to truly answer to their needs and demands, further bridging the gap between the organization and the end user, be it a consumer or business. Through closer cooperation with the customer and by providing all sorts of customized solutions, Al Fahim Automotive will showcase the strengths of its products instilling reassurance of products even before a purchase takes place.
On another note, Mr. Bernthaler talked about new developments in the automotive business, saying, “We have already started implementing our growth strategy and soon we will be announcing our expansion into other regions of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi. Moreover, we have secured numerous partnerships in the field of sports, of which a few of them are internationally recognized initiatives newly penetrating the local market. We will be revealing to the public these new sponsorships and ventures in due time,”
Looking forward, Al Fahim Group’s automotive plans in the last quarter of the year are replete with activities which the Abu Dhabi community will find highly engaging. From customer-focused programs to corporate social responsibility (CSR) projects, Al Fahim Group is cementing the growth path it has embarked on in the past years and accentuating its leading position in the automotive industry.
