Abu Dhabi City Municipality has tendered an offer for private developers to fund, build and operate Al Sharia Park Project in Abu Dhabi City.
Located along E11 highway between Abu Dhabi and Dubai at an interchange near Al Rabha, the scheme aims to transfer an existing underutilised park area into a unique leisure destination, according to constructionweekonline news report.
Earlier this week, the municipality released a similar proposal for the Al Bateen Project, also located in the UAE capital.
The Al Sharia scheme will integrate a new district park, water play and historic elements with a major bio-dome attraction and new commercial elements comprising hospitality, food & beverage and retail areas totalling over 50,000 square metres.
Developers will fund, build and operate the project under a Musataha contract, which entitles them to benefit from the land and facilities for 32 years following which their ownership will revert back to the municipality at nil premium.
The deadline for submissions is 29 September 2015.
