Sheikh Hamdan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, has called on the Ministry's staff to continue to work hard and make sure it delivers services to customers as quickly as possible and in the best way possible.
He urged them to grace the Holy Month of Ramadan with dedication, mastery of work, and distinguished customer service.
Sheikh Hamadan pointed out that the recent achievement of the Ministry, the electronic and 100% smart transformation of priority services provided for individuals and the business sector, is the fruit of their efforts, and one of the steps of innovation and creativity by which the Ministry is seeking to elevate provision of services to customers, in order to contribute to the achievement of UAE agenda to become one of the best countries in the world by the year 2021.
This came on the occasion of UN Public Service Day, which falls on June 23rd. This year’s theme is, "Innovation in the delivery of public services for the implementation of development agenda post 2015". Celebrating this day aims to highlight the value and benefits of providing public services to the community and its contribution to the development process, appreciate the work of staff in the public sector, and encourage the youth to engage in the occupations of this sector.
Sheikh Hamdan also praised the results of the Fragile States Index for 2015, in which the UAE is one of the most stable countries, pointing out that the index depends on several factors in measurement and classification, including public service.
He also stressed the need to sustain the targets of innovation, and creativity to achieve the well-being of UAE citizens and residents, which is what the leadership wishes for them, recalling the virtues of the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, his love of work, and his constant quest to serve his people and provide all means of comfort and a decent life to them, which is the path followed by his successors, led by President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President and Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, and their fellow Rulers of the Emirates.
