Major General Dr. Ahmed Nasser Al Raisi, Inspector-General of the Ministry of Interior, has met with Abdulqader Obaid Ali, President of the UAE Internal Audit Association, IAA.
During the meeting, Major General Al Raisi reviewed the association’s role in increasing institutions staff members’ awareness about the importance of internal auditing inside the country and abroad, in accordance with international standards.
He also received from IAA’s President a copy of the Certified Internal Auditor Certification guide, which was translated to Arabic; in addition to a copy of the Sawyers Guide for Internal Auditors and the COSO Internal Control Integrated Framework.
The UAE Internal Audit Association was first set up as a non-profit organisation in the UAE, it endeavours to increase awareness and promote the profession of internal auditing throughout the UAE and the region. The association also seeks to improve the skills of internal auditors and ensure their compliance with global standards and has made great strides in Arabisation of books related to internal auditing.
