In implementation of the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, the Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan Foundation has dispatched a humanitarian relief plane carrying 50 tons of medical assistance to Yemen.
An official source at the Khalifa Foundation said that another plane will take off tomorrow carrying a further 50 tons of drugs and medical supplies.
The source explained that the aid delivery comes in line with the directives of the UAE's wise leadership to provide help and assistance to the people of Yemen in various fields, especially in light of the current circumstances. He added that the foundation will expand its relief operations to provide food, medicines and medical supplies to Yemen in the near future.
