The Mall at World Trade Center Abu Dhabi, the modern shopping destination located in the heart of the city, is partnering with Alliance Francaise, Abu Dhabi to host the global phenomenon, World Music Day (La Fete des Musicians). The event will be be held at the Public Square from 12.30pm – 10pm, where music fans aree invited to enjoy the complimentary event supporting amateur and professional performers from across the globe playing all genres of music, with something for everyone.

This is the third year running that The Mall has hosted World Music Day - last year it was attended by around 1,000 music fans and numbers are expected to significantly increase this year. Launched in 1982 by the French Minister of Culture to encourage more people to appreciate or participate in music, the World Music Day is now held in more than one hundred countries across the world and historically it takes place on the Summer Solstice. Due to the dynamism and renown of the French international cultural network in the United Arab Emirates, World Music Day has become a popular calendar date.
