Abu Dhabi Ship Building, ADSB, has held its 2nd annual "ADSB Day" in appreciation of the dedicated strategic partners that led to its success over the past year. The celebration was attended by ADSB staff and executive management.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Khaled Al Mazrouei, CEO of ADSB, said, "I want to thank everyone who made our great progress possible the past year. From our Board of Directors’ wise strategic oversight, to our management team’s experience in overcoming challenges, to all of our employees who delivered the strong results. We were able to quickly and effectively navigate roadblocks to fulfill our objectives and provide our clients with the timely and effective service they have come to know and trust."
Col. Khalid Al Meraikhi, COO of ADSB, said, "We have made significant operational advancements since 2014. Most notably building, repairing and refitting naval and commercial vessels, modernising and advancing their systems, as well as building, refitting and repairing small boats. Our most recent operational success came with the handover of the 4th Baynunah class vessels to the UAE Navy, a true testament of our work with local partners."
Originally established in 1995 to support UAE Navy vessels, ADSB is 10% owned by Abu Dhabi government, 40% by Mubadala Development Company and 50% publicly traded on the Abu Dhabi’s Securities Exchange, ADX.
