The Ministry of Interior has stepped up its efforts to disseminate the Government Excellence System across the Naturalisation, Residency and Ports Affairs sector.
Major General Khalifa Hareb Al Khaili, Acting Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior for Naturalisation, Residency and Ports Affairs, stressed the importance of promoting government excellence efforts across the sector, with the aim of upgrading police and security work and providing quality services to the public.
He was speaking during a workshop organised by the Strategy and Performance Development Department at the Naturalisation, Residency and Ports sector. The workshop, held in cooperation with the Directorate General of Strategy and Performance Development at the Ministry of Interior, discussed the fourth generation of the government excellence system.
The workshop was attended by Brigadier Mansour Ahmed Ben Hamouda, General Coordinator of the Naturalisation, Residency and Ports Sector; Brigadier Saeed Rakan Al Rashedi, Head of Naturalisation Department; along with the directors general of Residency and Foreigners Affairs at the countrywide level, heads of departments, standards and excellence team leaders and a large number of officers and female staff members from the Naturalisation, Residency and Ports Affairs.
Colonel Dr. Abdullah Abdurrahman, General Supervisor for the Strategy and Performance Development at the Naturalisation Sector, emphasised the important aspects of the Ministry of Interior’s participation through its various sectors in the next edition of the Government Excellence Award.
Major Salem Al Ameri of the Organisational Excellence Department at the General Secretariat of the Office of H.H. Deputy Prime Minister & Minister of Interior, briefed attendees on the previous and new organisational excellence system, and highlighted the difference between the previous and new excellence standards. He also shed light on the previous and new categories included in the Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Government Excellence Award.
Expert Zakaria Sulaiman Nuseirat, and excellence advisor Saleh Ahmed Abubakar, tackled the fourth generation of the government excellence system, the new categories of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Government Excellence Award, the award’s criteria, conditions of participation in each of the award’s categories, and the award’s methods of evaluation.
