In a move that shows a relentless and earnest quest to provide the best service levels for retirees, and complements the core services provided to achieve the highest international standards, Abu Dhabi Retirement Pensions and Benefits Fund announced the launch of the Mazaya Program for discounts. This program provides the pensioners with a bundle of benefits as a token of appreciation for the huge amount of efforts they have made in serving the country throughout their working years.
The Mazaya Program is an integrated social program which offers discounts for pensioners and beneficiaries registered with the Abu Dhabi Pensions Fund. It aims to introduce the discounts and special services of the Mazaya Program to contribute towards maintaining the standard of living post retirement.
In addition, the Mazaya Program aims to raise a sense of social responsibility for companies and institutions along with other sectors in the Emirates, who could contribute in providing integrated and discounted service packages for pensioners. 5,600 pensioners and 8,300 beneficiaries are expected to benefit from this program.
The launch of the Mazaya Program emerged after the Fund had contacted more than 150 companies to provide pensioners with integrated packages which would include all the services and features they need. So far, the Fund has succeeded in signing cooperation contracts with a large number of selected companies and institutions in the private sector. The program still looks forward to reach a greater number of companies, to offer more discounts, for a wide range of services or goods that interest pensioners.
Services and features covered by the Mazaya Program are divided into several sectors, which include sales, leasing and car insurance, telecommunications, flights, hotels, furniture, entertainment services, health care, beauty, restaurants, cafe's, retail shops, jewellery, opticals, event management services and many others. The discounts offered by the companies vary according to their terms and conditions. In assurance towards the quality of services provided, it was approved that the discounts should be appropriate and compete in the general market. For example; it was ascertained that the discounts offered by hotels are good in comparison to those in prominent e-booking sites.
On this occasion, Fatima AL Shuraiqi, the Acting Corporate Communication Manager said: "We are pleased to announce the launch of the Mazaya Program of Abu Dhabi Retirement Pensions and Benefits Fund. We believe this immense achievement in the UAE is a result of the pensioners' work and efforts. They were the source of strength and giving and today they are our source of experience and knowledge. Because their confidence in us and the homeland is priceless, we express our thanks and gratitude to them through the Mazaya Program. We seek to cover all sectors through cooperation agreements with selected companies and service providers, to provide our pensioners with packages of integrated offers and features which will include all aspects of a good lifestyle.
Al Shuraiqi further added: "Shops and companies that offer these discounts welcome the pensioners through the Fund's pensioners card or the Beneficiaries card, which have been issued to them by the Fund. It is compulsory to show these cards to take advantage of the discounts.
Al Shuraiqi later thanked the companies that contributed in the Mazaya Program, including Etisalat, du, Etihad Airways, Al Hilal Takaful Insurance Company, Al Tayer Motors, Bin Hamouda, Audi, Hertz and Alshaya Projects Group. In the hotel sector, Al Shuraiqi thanked the entire Rotana Group, Jumeirah Group, Accor Group, Anantara Group, Starwood Group, Fairmont Group, Millennium Group and Al Diyar Group of hotels.
Al Shuariqi invited the government agencies and large companies to contribute towards the Mazaya program, either by offering discounts or through special services for pensioners, within their own customer service centres.
Pensioners and beneficiaries may learn all the details of the offers through a dedicated website, which is accessible through the official Fund website: www.pension.gov.ae, as well as Mazaya accounts on Facebook and Instagram: @ADPMazaya. Brochures will be provided in customer service offices in the Fund's main premises and in Al Ain and the Western Region offices which shall contain all the details about these discounts.
