“I’m going to spend some time in Abu Dhabi on the trip while I’m here. I’m driving there this afternoon. We definitely have future plans [for Abu Dhabi] nothing imminent, but it’s a great market... I’ve spent some time there in the past, but I want to familiarise myself with it so, I’m meeting with some old friends and just get an understanding of what’s in the market there,” she told Arabian Business on Wednesday.
The Trump brand is already linked to the UAE and last year Dubai’s Damac Properties and Trump real estate launched their collaborated project Trump PRVT Mansions in Dubailand.
Located within Damac’s Akoya development, Trump Mansions is a 42 million square foot complex consisting of luxury mansions, villas, apartments, hotels and an outdoor retail strip.
It’s set inside the Trump Estates Island alongside the Trump International Golf club.
“We’re very excited. We’re very bullish on Dubai. I’m very excited about the UAE in general,” Ivanka Trump said.
“There’s tremendous stability here, and as you look around the globe, that’s certainly something not to be taken for granted. And it’s a very good place to do business,” she explained.
“We have very aggressive expectations and I think today I can sit and say that the market has validated those, because the response has been truly exceptional,” she added. “We really wanted it to be this lush and green oasis amidst this dynamic city all around you.”
The starting price of the Trump villas is set at AED6.5 million ($1.7 million).
The Trump Mansions will come in six different designs, according to Damac. Each property will house a private pool and deck, large balconies, private gardens and floor to ceiling windows.
Some villas of the Trump Mansions project will be ready within the year, while the entire project will be completed by 2018.
