Yas Marina Circuit today announced that it had signed a long-term Memorandum of Understanding with National Ambulance, ensuring the safety of its visitors well into the future.
The announcement follows a recent meeting between Al Tareq Al Ameri, CEO of Yas Marina Circuit and the deputy CEO of National Ambulance, Ahmed Al Hajeri, where the two discussed their shared commitment to continual improvement of health and safety standards at the circuit and further strengthened the cooperation between two leading stakeholders in the emirate.
As well as medical and safety emergency plans for the 2015 FORMULA 1 ETIHAD AIRWAYS ABU DHABI GRAND PRIX in November, the meeting agenda also included ways to fully support the circuit’s year-round programme of entertainment, grassroots motorsport and regular community health and fitness initiatives that attracts more than 500,000 visits per year.
“At Yas Marina Circuit, the safety and wellbeing of the hundreds of thousands of visitors that are drawn here all year round is paramount,” said Al Tareq Al Ameri. “That is why we have engaged with a partner we trust and has proven itself many times since our collaboration began in October of last year. We strive to constantly improve our guest experience and this partnership will ensure that the very best on-site medical support is in place long into the future.”
Ahmed Al Hajeri, added: “National Ambulance is proud to provide high-quality, pre-hospital emergency care to one of Abu Dhabi’s iconic venues throughout the year. The Abu Dhabi Grand Prix is a standout event and our highly trained staff and state-of-the-art ambulances were deployed to support last year’s race event. In line with our commitment to continual improvement, planning is well underway for November’s F1 race to ensure visitors to Yas Marina Circuit receive the highest standards of pre-hospital care.”
National Ambulance recently received Joint Commission International accreditation (JCI) for its high quality pre-hospital care service in the UAE including the one available at Yas Marina Circuit.
