Major General Khalil Dawood Badran, Director General of Finance and Services reiterated the police commitment to active participation in major local and international celebrations and events in order to reflect the bright civilized image of the UAE.
He also emphasized the keen interest of the police leadership to build efficient partnerships with national institutions, based on principles of the police institution and its strategy, which aims to foster civilized communication with the local community and its different institutions. “Such an approach would promote the police’s societal role, in instilling the noble values of the Emirati society that are based on the original and authentic traditions.
Colonel Saif Saeed Al Shamesi, Chief of the Cultural and Social Activities at the Clubs Department, presented the certificates and commemorative gifts received from Sultan Bin Zayed Heritage Festival to Major General Badran. The certificates were awarded to the Abu Dhabi Police in recognition of their distinguished participation in the festival.
For his part, Colonel Al Shamesi said that the Abu Dhabi Police participation was well received by the Festival’s visitors from various nationalities and age groups. He noted that the ADP participation included an old photos exhibition, as well as the police’s initial uniform, along with performances by the Abu Dhabi Police Music Band wearing their traditional uniform; all of which showcase the development stages of the police institution.
