The Police Schools Department at Abu Dhabi Police General Headquarters (GHQ) secured first place at the second edition of the Pistol Shooting Championship for Officers. The Government and Diplomatic Premises Protection Department placed second, and the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) placed third.
A total of 17 departments from the Abu Dhabi Police participated in the competition that was organized by the Sports Activities Section at the Strategy and Performance Development Directorate. This championship is part of the sport activities program for the Abu Dhabi Police GHQ, and took place at the Police Officers Club at Abu Dhabi.
Colonel Mohammed Hamid bin Dalmouj Al Dhaheri, Strategy and Performance Development Director General, noted that successful police work requires acquiring new knowledge, developing intellect, and cultural and athletic skills. “Police leadership is keen to develop the efficiency and capacity of its staff members through various methods and practices in a bid to boost police performance,” said Al Dhaheri.
In the individual competition of the second edition of the Pistol Shooting Championship for Officers, results are as follows: Captain Khaled Al Hammadi from the Police Colleges Department placed first; Lieutenant Mahmoud Al Bloushi from the Government and Diplomatic Premises Protection Department placed second; and Lieutenant Colonel Hussein Al Sanani from the Police Colleges Department placed third.
The championship was attended by Captain Jamal Al Saadi, Head of Sports Activities Section; and Captain Saif Al Dhaheri from the Sports Activities Section.
