National Ambulance Addresses Its Strategic Plan And Service Improvements

The National Ambulance Company (NAC) recently discussed the strategic plan 2015-2020, which included   development, modernization, and opportunities for improvement in order to enhance customer satisfaction. The methods addressed in the strategic plan all contribute to the reduction of response times in accordance with the government’s vision.

During its meeting headed by Mohammed Ibrahim Al Ameri, the Chairman of the Board, the NAC discussed the services of pre-hospital care that meet customers’ needs, in addition to the provision of medical and health care for the injured and sick before reaching the hospital  

Ahmed Saleh Al Hajeri, Deputy CEO of National Ambulance Company, indicated that the strategic plan 2015-2020 is based on several pillars in order to develop the police work system further, to enhance the quality of services, to keep up with developments in work of the ambulances, to introduce the utilized state-of-the-art technologies, and to expand services. He also pointed out to reviewing the functions of the NAC, of its contributions in the society, and its provision of both rapid and accurate services in an effort to avoid the risks and complications of injuries resulting from accidents.

Moreover, he noted that the meeting focused on the client satisfaction survey in order to gain insight into the customers’ feedback and suggestions to develop services. He indicated that the SWOT program has been established to evaluate the strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats involved in the provision of services. The SWOT analysis project opens the door to discuss opportunities for improving, upgrading the level of services, and using the best technologies in the ambulance work fields.

Concluding, Ahmed Al Hajeri tackled the revision of analytical studies; opportunities for development; and the factors and review of the implementation of the strategic plan in both short term and long term segments during 2015-2020 period. He confirmed that the focus of the strategic plan is to reduce the response times in order to swiftly reach the scene of the accident, and to comprehensively treat all cases and provide medical and therapeutic services. This could be achieved through increasing the number of ambulances, stations, and centers in order to meet the current demands in accordance with the best international standards and performances of the leading countries in this field.
