Al Diar Capital Hotel, a member of the Al Diar chain owned and managed by Abu Dhabi National Hotels (ADNH), has reported a 8 percent increase of business travellers checking in at the hotel in 2008 compared to 2007.
“The majority of guests at Al Diar Capital, which comprises 83% percent, are business travellers from all over the world, with Europe and Asia accounting for the top occupants,” said Ali Salih, General Manager of Al Diar Capital Hotel.
“In 2008, business travellers from Europe have increased by 38 percent followed by Asia with 24 percent,” he added.
Salih attributed this increase to several international events, shows, exhibitions and conferences that Abu Dhabi hosted last year such as the Abu Dhabi International Petroleum Exhibition and Conference (ADIPEC) and the Middle East International Film Festival (MEIFF). Several international companies have also started setting-up their regional headquarters in the emirate.
The hotel has recently completed the refurbishment of its lobby and the Palm Restaurant on the 13th floor which included renovation, redecoration, new furniture and state-of-the-art kitchen equipment.
Forty-five minutes away from the Abu Dhabi International Airport and close to the capital’s shopping and business centres, Al Diar Capital Hotel is the ideal venue for business travellers and is a favoured weekend get-a-way for UAE residents.
Al Diar Capital Hotel is part of the Al Diar Hotels chain that includes 11 executive hotels in Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Fujairah.
