The Media and Public Relations Coordination Committee at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) discussed the annual plan for lectures, seminars, and workshops for 2015. The plan focuses on the exchange of knowledge between police staff members and providing them with the opportunity to attend the variety of programs and lectures organized by the various police authorities in the UAE.
The Committee had held its first meeting for 2015 that was chaired by Colonel Hussein Mahmoud Al Awadhi, Acting Head of the Public Relations Department at the Ministry of Interior, and Chairman of the Committee in his office at the ministry's headquarters. The meeting was attended by all members from police general headquarters across the country.
A number of topics were tackled during the meeting, including a presentation pertaining to unifying the procedures of the Media and Public Relations Coordination Committees; taking part in the MoI’s First International Conference on Knowledge Management in Security Institutions, and communicating with the conference’s organizing entity; and the participation of the MoI and police general headquarters in the different environmental activities and green applications. The meeting also discussed the recommendations made in the previous meeting, reviewed the suggestions and proposals submitted by the committee members.
