Ducab, the leading manufacturer of high quality power cables in the Middle East, announced that they have signed a Strategic Manufacturer Agreement (SMA) to supply LV wires and power cables for the Al Raha Beach Development Project. As per the agreement estimated at about AED 800 million worth of cables, Ducab will supply ALOR with LV wires & power cables valued at AED 100 million per annum.
Commenting on the agreement, Ducab’s Managing Director, Mr. Andrew Shaw said:

The SMA signing ceremony which was held at Al Raha Beach development project site office in Abu Dhabi was signed by Mr. Andrew Shaw, Ducab’s Managing Director, and Ken Farey, Head of Procurement, ALDAR/Laing O’Rourke JV. Also present were John O’Connor, Commercial Director of ALOR, Simon Draycott, Commercial Manager, ALDAR and David Lee from EC Harris, appointed to provide the commercial management services on the project.

The Al Raha Beach development project has 11 precincts that includes Al Raha Beach Development, Mussafah Labour Camp, Motorworld Development and covers a built-up area of 12 million square metres. The project will require nearly 70km of 22Kv cables
Covering over 570 hectares of land, this mixed use development will be the new gateway to Abu Dhabi and will be completed in 2015.
The project includes an 11km long coastline development that will house iconic buildings such as the Abu Dhabi World Trade Center, ALDAR’s new Head Quarters, Luxury waterfront villas and Hotel and apartment properties.
