A Gala Masquerade Ball has been announced as the final event on the week-long Anantara Gourmet 2015 programme being held in Dubai and Abu Dhabi 9th – 16th April. The extravagant Gala Masquerade Ball will be hosted at the luxurious Royal Pavilion Villas by Qasr Al Sarab on Thursday 16th April, 2015 and will be a world’s first for a masquerade theme beneath the sapphire blue, starry skies of the world’s largest uninterrupted sand desert.
The expected 200 attendees will relish a five course dinner with paired cellared beverages, created by a host of international guest Chefs including Henrik Yde-Andersen for the cold starter, Anantara’s own Chef Aztaj Eddoukani for the hot appetizer, Italian Chef Igor Macchia for the fish course and Australian Chef Mike Tafe for the meat course. Chef ‘Sugar Hari’ Unterrainer also hailing from downunder will work his magic for a decadent dessert and petit fours.
In addition to a global culinary voyage, the evening promises many surprises and wow moments, including a Laurent Perrier reception, exciting prizes from a host of high end partners, and a silent auction, all hosted by Arabian Radio Network personality Mr. Richard Dean as Master of Ceremonies, and accompanied by live entertainment from Jazz band “Souled Out featuring Naz Holland”.
Speaking about the event, Area General Manager, Mr Wael Soueid, said:
“This will be the first time that a masquerade ball will be held in the desert. The ball is the finale of our week long Anantara Gourmet event and we have created an amazing package to enable as many people as possible to be part of this world first. We are asking the people of Dubai and Abu Dhabi to put on their suits and elegant gowns, and to wear elaborate embellished masks.”
“Think of the grandeur and colour of the Venetian balls and that is what we have in mind. It’s going to be one of the most talked about social events of the UAE and is limited to just 200 people.”
Tickets for the evening are AED 750* per person, or purchased as part of a package from AED 2,400* including overnight stay in a Deluxe Garden Room for two, tickets to the Gala evening, as well as breakfast served at Al Waha the next morning. Make a weekend of it and stay two nights with the Gala Masquerade Dinner and breakfast for two from AED 3,800*. The event includes a charity auction of items such as jewellery, art, international holidays and more.
